How much do you charge for an estimate?

We offer complimentary in-home estimates, FREE of charge, to provide you with an accurate quote based on your specific needs.

How do you calculate the cost of a flooring estimate?

The cost of the estimate is based on the size of the area to be covered, the type of flooring chosen, labor, and any additional services like removal of old hard surface flooring or subfloor preparation.

What types of flooring do you install?

We specialize in installing all types of flooring to include hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, tile, and carpet. Feel free to ask about specific materials or styles you're interested in! We have a wide variety of flooring options in our Showroom located in Killeen, TX!

Do you install kitchen and wall backsplashes, fireplaces, and bathroom showers?

Yes, we also offer installation services for Kitchen backsplashes, accent walls, fireplaces, and bathroom showers. These projects can be customized with tile, ledger stone, brick veneers, or other materials to match your design preferences.

Can I see samples of the flooring materials before deciding?

Yes, during your estimate consultation, our Floor Sales Consultant will bring flooring samples to you so that you can see and feel the options in your own home. We also have a showroom full of displays and a wide variety of flooring options! We highly recommend coming in to see all our extensive flooring options as well as taking advantage of our Room Visualizer tool on our website to view products and visualize how it could look in your home or business!

Do you offer a warranty on the flooring and installation?

Yes, when you purchase your flooring from us manufacture warranties are included. We also provide a 1-year Labor warranty on our installation services, applicable only if the product is purchased from Technique Flooring & Restoration. The length and terms of the warranty depend on the type of flooring you choose. Please ask your sales consultant for additional information regarding manufacturer warranties.

How long does the installation process take?

This varies on the size, material selection, and complexity of the job. Our goal is to provide most estimates within 24 hours or less. Larger projects may take longer, but the Floor Sales Consultant will give you an accurate timeframe of when you can expect to receive your estimate from them during the Free Estimate.

How do I prepare my home before installation?

We recommend removing furniture, breakable items, and personal belongings from the installation area. Our team can help with moving furniture for an additional fee if preferred. The Floor Sales Consultant will review those options with you during the estimate.

How far in advance do I need to schedule the installation?

Installation dates can fill up quickly, so we recommend scheduling as soon as you're ready. After your quote is approved and your deposit made, we can add you to the schedule. The Floor Sales Consultant will discuss the availability and book a date that works for you during the estimate process. We pride ourselves on Fast Installations and have many IN-STOCK options available for quick turnarounds.

What is your payment process?

We require a 50% deposit upon approval of the quote proposal. This deposit is necessary to order materials and secure your installation appointment. The remaining balance is due upon project completion. We accept cash, check, or credit card payments and we also offer two financing options for those interested in financing based on credit approval.

Can I finance my flooring project?

Absolutely! We offer 2 financing options to help make your flooring project affordable and fit within your budget. Option 1: Shaw's Wells Fargo Financing- 0% Interest for 12 months based on credit approval or Option 2: Foundations Financing- Low Monthly payment options based on credit approval with Foundations Financing. Do you clean up after the installation?

Yes, we take pride in leaving your home as clean as we found it. Debris from the installation will be removed, and we will vacuum or sweep the area to ensure a tidy space.

How do I know if my carpet can be repaired or if it needs to be replaced?

Carpet repairs are ideal for smaller, localized damage, like burns, stains, or loose seams. If your carpet has extensive damage, especially after water damage or years of wear and tear, a replacement might be a more cost-effective option. We can assess your carpet and advise you on the best course of action.

Can you fix pet damage on carpets?

Yes! We frequently repair carpets damaged by pets. This includes patching areas chewed, scratched, or soiled, and addressing any odor issues associated with pet accidents.

How long does a carpet repair take?

Most carpet repairs can be completed within a few hours, depending on the extent of the damage. For larger repairs, like significant water damage restoration, the process may take longer.

Will the repaired area look different from the rest of my carpet?

We aim to make the repair as seamless as possible. If we use a patch, we will try to match the color and texture closely, but depending on the age and wear of your carpet, there might be slight variations. However, we take great care to ensure the repair is as discreet as possible.

Do you offer carpet stretching to fix wrinkles and bumps?

Yes, we offer professional carpet stretching services to smooth out any wrinkles, bumps, or waves in your carpet. This not only improves the appearance but also extends the life of your carpet by preventing further damage.

How much does carpet repair cost?

The cost varies based on the type and extent of the damage. Basic repairs, such as seam fixes or small patches, may begin at $100 before tax, while more involved repairs, like stretching or reinstallation, may cost more. We offer estimates via email (after reviewing photos) or an in-house FREE estimate, so you know the price upfront.
